Sadly, due to financial hardship and a lack of classroom space The Crescent Academy in Stoke-on-Trent had to turn their library into an extra classroom. This meant that the children no longer had a place to browse and enjoy age appropriate books. The school was determined to have a library space, and not having the funds to construct a library building wasn’t going to stand in their way…
Running the workshop at Leicester was a really special moment for us and the children and club staff were all fantastic. The club also generously donated a Leicester shirt as a prize in our writing competition. The competition runs until July 8th and has some really fantastic prizes.
