As of today all Primary PE Passport subscribers will receive a copy of Strike Boy when they sign up or renew! If you’ve been following the Striker Boy campaign for a while you’ll recognise Primary PE Passport as the official shirt sponsors of the UK All-Stars. The All-Stars played in the first ever #EduFootyAid event that raised over £5,000 for Mind. As well as sponsoring the kits, two members of the PE Passport team, Glyn Musgrove and Lee Manion, played on the day.
Unfortunately, the All-Stars lost 4-2 to the North East Elite, but Glyn and Lee enjoyed the experience and felt passionately about the cause. That is why they contacted us after the event to let us know they’d be donating a copy of Striker Boy to all their customers. As well as being a great read for kids, each copy of Striker Boy generates £1.40 for Mind. So far the campaign has raised over £10,000. Lee Manion said:
“We are extremely proud to have been involved in the recent #EduFootyAid event. As soon as we heard Jonny’s story we were inspired and immediately wanted to offer our support. As teachers ourselves, raising awareness in Mental Health is something we are passionate about and an issue that is close to our hearts. We hope by donating a copy of the Striker Boy book to each of our customers, we can further support the fantastic work done by the Striker Boy campaign (in aid of Mind), spread the word and increase awareness of mental health.”
