On Sunday January 7th the unthinkable happened.
Championship side Nottingham Forest knocked out FA Cup titans Arsenal in what is likely to be the shock upset of the tournament.
Arsenal hold the record for most FA Cup titles (13) and have won the competition twice in the last three years. Nottingham Forest, once one of the biggest clubs in Europe, haven’t won the FA Cup since 1959.
John Barnwell played for both Arsenal and Forest over the course of his long and successful career. We caught up with John at the game on Sunday and he was kind enough to sign a copy of Striker Boy.
Striker Boy is a wonderful football themed story aimed at children aged 8 to 13, it is guaranteed to delight and engage all young fans of the beautiful game.
Sadly, the author of Striker Boy, Jonny Zucker, took his own life in 2016. We have republished this special not-for-profit edition in aid of Mind, to raise money and awareness for mental health.
Signed by a footballing legend at a game that will go down in history, this copy truly is one of a kind.
We’re giving it away! For your chance to win, simply follow us on Facebook or Twitter and share the competition post.
The winner will be chosen at random on the day that Nottingham Forest either exit or win the FA Cup (the FA Cup final is on May 19th 2018).
